René Goscinny (screenwriter) (1926-1977) and Albert Uderzo (cartoonist) (1927-2020) created the famous characters Asterix and Obelix and the comics that have brought the most fame to Gaul conquered by Rome, making the characters of Rome immortal. a humble Gallic village that resisted being conquered by the Romans.

Since 1961 Goscinny and Uderzo have been hand in hand for 24 issues. When Goscinny died in 1977, Uderzo took over and he himself did the script and the drawings for 10 more issues. In 2013, Uderzo handed over the baton to Jean-Yves Ferri (scriptwriter) and Didier Conrad (cartoonist) who, to date, have published 5 more issues (the last one in 2021).
