Beautiful golden statuette of the goddess Sejmet, Sekhmet or Sacmis, of Ancient Egypt. "The most powerful", "The invincible", "The terrible", "The great mother goddess", "The goddess of love". She was a goddess of Egyptian mythology, a symbol of strength and power. She was considered the goddess of war and revenge, but also the goddess of healing. It was said that his breath created the desert. She was the protector of the pharaohs and guided them in the war. Their cult was so widespread in Egyptian culture that when the first pharaoh of the 12th dynasty, Amenemhat I, established the capital at Itjtawy, his main cult also moved there.

Sejmet is also considered a solar goddess, often recognized as the firstborn daughter of the sun god Ra and related to the goddesses Hathor and Bastet.

In its iconography it was represented with the body of a woman and the head of a lion, although with a mane, generally crowned with the solar disc, the uraeus (goddess snake Uadjet) that related it to royalty, bearing the Anj, a papyrus or lotus flower, and arrows. Sometimes also with the Eye of Horus. His clothes used to be red, representing blood and often appears showing the breasts, symbol of power.
