The codex Le Livre des simples médecines (The Book of Simple Medicines), the original of which is kept in the National Library of Russia (Sign. FP. Fv VI # 1), in Saint Petersburg, is a very special medical manuscript, both for the beauty of the illuminations as for being a compendium of medieval European knowledge, originating from classical Greece.
Facsimile size: 28.5 x 37.5 cm. 340 pages with a splendid iconographic atlas with 386 figures. Golden edges. Bound in brown leather with gold trim.
