Facsimile edition made in 2001 by Ars Magna/AyN of the 14th century manuscript “The Fables of Aesop”, whose original is kept in the University Library of Bologna, Ms. 1213.
The manuscript was commissioned by the King of Sicily, William I, for the education of the young prince.
Limited edition of 995 copies and numbered with notarial certificate.
Facsimile bound in French kid leather decorated in gold. Format 24.5 x 33 cm. 72 pages written in Latin with 147 beautiful miniatures.
Presented in a protective case and accompanied by a study book with the transcription and translation of the Latin text into Spanish. Format 21 x 30 cm, 200 illustrated pages.
Aesop, with his verses and his ingenuity, left us a compilation of short stories with deep moral teachings. Let us not forget that the allegorical character and the moral, always implicit in fables, make them very suitable for education; Even today they are still valid.
