Facsimile edition made in 2007 in commemoration of the 800 years since the writing of the manuscript of the Cantar de mio Cid by Per Abbat, by Abbat Editions of the Spanish epic poem of the year 1207, “El Cantar de Mío Cid”, made from the edition Printed in 1779 by Tomás Antonio Sánchez (1723-1802), Librarian of S. M, whose original copy is in the General Library of the Center for Literary and Art Studies of Castilla y León.
This edition includes, in addition to the facsimile, seven loose lithographic prints of variable stain made especially for this edition by the prestigious painter Ignacio del Río. These representative scenes are based on a literary selection made by Professor Albino Arenas.
Facsimile bound in full leather back, format 25.5 x 34.5 cm. 196 pages in “Classic Radiant White Laid” paper of 230 gr. stitched in branch.
Accompanied by a study book in a pink fabric hardcover with a golden title. Format 18 x 24.8 cm. 172 pages with texts by Luis Galván Moreno. ISBN 9788493564315.
Folder with the 7 loose lithographic prints of variable stain, made with a careful design on “Aquarello Bianco” paper and especially for this edition by the prestigious Burgos painter Ignacio del Río in a Dutch leather and paper folder-case. Signed and numbered by the author. It is accompanied by a sheet with the design of the 7 lithographs and a brief biography of the author.
In accordance with the bibliophile tradition, the set (facsimile, study book and folder with the seven prints) is presented in a 30 x 37.5 x 9.5 cm chest box, handcrafted in split leather, giving it a own and original appearance.
