Facsimile edition made in 2010 by the Siloé publishing house of one of the oldest and most famous cartographic rarities by Heinrich Bünting, included in the volume “Itinerarium Sacrae Scripturae”, whose original from the 16th century is currently in a private collection in Germany.
With approximately 60 editions in German, Latin, Dutch, English, Danish, Swedish and Czech, this book enjoyed a vast European circulation until the middle of the 18th century. Extraordinary replica of the maps of this classic of universal symbolic cartography.
Along with the 5 vintage hand-colored bifolios of the already famous Bünting maps, namely: the world trefoil, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean, the edition incorporates those same 5 black and white bifolios plus others 6 bifolios and 1 folio of other maps also in black and white, also drawn from his influential work.
The set is presented in a beautiful conservation case, format 39.5 x 32.5 x 5.5 cm, inside which is the volume of studies, with texts in Spanish, bound in hard cover, format 17.5 x 24.5cm 240 color illustrated pages.
