Description

Supplementary study book to the facsimile Thesaurus by Remediis Secretis, pars secunda, whose original of 1569 was reproduced in faithful facsimile edition in 2013, also available on our website.

The volume of studies, complementary to the facsimile edition, contains for the first time the translation into Spanish from the original Latin. Artisanal binding in half leather with tejuelo, stamping of planes in gold with steering wheel. Format 23.5 x 32 cm. 420 pages with 34 engravings to all pages of the collections of the Royal Library of El Escorial and the Historical Library “Marqués de Valdecilla” of the Complutense University of Madrid.

The facsimile edition corresponds to the work Thesaurus de remediis secretis, pars secunda, published by his disciple Sebastian Wolf, five years after the death of the author Conrad Gesner and now translated for the first time into Spanish from his original Latin form.

This unique and valuable publication has been co-published with the Pharmacy Academy of Castilla y León, which holds the original form. It also has the support of the General Council of Official Associations of Pharmacists, the Council of Professional Associations of Pharmacists of Castilla y León and the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Salamanca.

It has been made an open case of presentation and conservation expressly, format 23.5 x 33.2 x 4.5 cm, and lined in green cloth stamped in gold on the flyer.
