Original book, with more than 170 years, with a beautiful binding in full green leather with nerves and gilt irons in planes, spine, edges and counter edges, golden cuts. Format 19.5 x 27.8 cm. 384 pages with bullets and plates out of pagination. Rusty paper without affecting the reading. The binding shows signs of the passage of time but, in general, in very good condition. The book retains a small stamp with the text “Roe Lockwood and Son. New-York ”(you can see it in one of the images).
Arsène Houssaye (1815-1896) was an important French novelist, poet, and writer of the 19th century.
